Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices American cheese
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup mustard
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Lettuce leaves
Directions:
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Divide ground beef into 4 equal parts and shape into patties. Season with salt and pepper.
- Grill patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached.
- Toast hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Place a slice of American cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
- Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, followed by ketchup and mustard.
- Place a patty on each bun, then top with a slice of cheddar cheese, onion slices, tomato slices, and lettuce.
- Serve immediately.
